Last time I talked about the Kids Clubs and Community Halls. Now I want to share with you some of the recreational activities that the Walt Disney World resorts have to offer.
When you check in to any Disney resort in your package will be the Calendar of Events for that month. Every resort’s activities are slightly different which makes it fun. And there are activities for all ages with most of the activities being FREE! Yes, Disney is doing something for free.
Here are the calendars from my last stay at All-Star Sports and Animal Kingdom Lodge
We have stayed at many resorts but here are some of our favorites:
- Crafts! There may be a small fee for this but don’t all kids (and grown ups) like to make their own souveniers.
- Pool Parties!! Most afternoons you can find a DJ by the pool playing great music and hosting games. You or your kids may just walk away with a prize. Try bingo or Disney Trivia!
- Movies IN the Pool!!! These are the best. On certain nights they put a screen up poolside. You can catch a swim and a Disney film at the same time.
Fun hint: You can participate in activities at most Disney Resorts even if you are not staying there. Concierge can give you a copy of that resort’s schedule.
Our favorite is to hop over to the Beach Club to watch their movie in the sand. You can grad a ‘to-go’ meal from Beaches and Cream (kids comes in a pail with a shovel) and then go enjoy the beach.
Hope this gave you some ideas for things to do around the resorts.
